Applications are invited for the position of part-time (61%) receptionist and consular services assistant. The successful applicant will be required to work Monday to Friday (8h30-13h00).


1. Under the general supervision of the consular and passports manager, provide a courteous, informed and professional telephone service to the public and Mission staff. Maintain a professional image by providing a friendly and courteous service to all visitors to the Mission.

2. Provide assistance to the consular and passports manager in dealing with consular, passport and administrative tasks.

Selection criteria:

A. Full fluency in English. Fluency in French highly desirable. German language skills also an advantage.

B. Flexibility, high-level interpersonal skills and a capacity to exercise discretion and confidentially essential.

C. Ability to manage and prioritise a variety of tasks and exercise initiative.

D. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a small team.

E. Well-developed IT skills (Microsoft environment).

Please note that the duration of this contract is limited and will not extend beyond 31 January 2014, at the latest.
